Principle # 8 Value of Self Awareness

In The Boss Mom Mentality, Principle #8 Value of Self Awareness is digging deep in how well you know who you are, what you stand for and what you need to improve on.

One of the challenges in my life, is not knowing my strengths and who I truly am, my darkness and all that make up my identity. To bridge this gap, I read up on the psychology of the mind, how your emotional well being is connected to unhealed wounds of the past. For true growth, looking inward is key.

“The emotional self thrives on ignorance”, as Robert Greene states in the Laws of Human Nature.

To get a hold of our tendencies of being over-emotional and highly explosive in our lives, we must bridge the gap of ignorance by cultivating a strong sense of self-awareness.

A woman’s ability to possess The Boss Mom Mentality is based off of the level and depth of her self-awareness. The better you know yourself, the better you can problem solve, and handle situations life throws at you. Becoming self-aware and knowing who you are, is imperative if your goal is teaching your children to become emotionally balanced, confident, and self-aware individuals.
