In The Boss Mom Mentality, I write about my journey in development… one of the biggest things that I have learned is emotional resilience…
How the strength of this characteristic affects how I handle the problems and issues of my life.
It was fitting to have an entire principle on emotional resilience, what it is, how to cultivate and strengthen this within us… to better parent in our lives.
“I don’t measure a man’s success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces back when he hits bottom.”
– George Patton
Knowing the value of emotional resilience is key to developing your ability to bounce back from challenges that life throws at you, in this instance, the challenges that Motherhood throws your way, and this is what I need to work on for myself.
Emotional resilience is connected to how well you deal with the challenges in your life and how quickly you bounce back from them. Most whom have learned how to come back from setbacks usually get better each time a setback or challenge is presented to them, in the event that they are aware enough to learn.
Which means resiliency is a learned trait and you can master this skill with practice and consistency.
